From Memorial Day to Labor Day 2004, we are asking Americans to write open letters to our President. Many of these letters will be read aloud on stage in October 2004. We encourage participation by individuals from all political viewpoints to write letters covering a wide range of issues. It is our hope that by reading these letters aloud in a theatrical context, we create a contemporary portrait of America.

Democrat or Republican, supporter or detractor, President Bush will be our President for another four years.

What would you like for the President to hear? What do you want the country to hear?

We welcome all letters; long or short, detailed or plain, serious or lighthearted in nature. Any opinion and any story, on any subject that you would like to submit as an open letter is welcome.

On stage, we would like to identify the author of each letter by first name and hometown to give a sense of individuality to each letter. The truth is preferred, but we will respect anyone’s request to remain anonymous.

We do require your email address with your submission. It will be used for verification or contact purposes only. We will not spam or give your email address to anyone else. You must also agree to a brief release statement that will allow us to use your letter.
